I have had my reception site picked out since last June for my wedding in August 2012. I just heard today that the very nice looking elegant hall that I had booked for $400.00 is now going to be a strip club in the small town that I live in... Um, did I miss something??? I have to find a whole new location, caterer, dj, everything in SIX MONTHS???? If anyone out there has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! I live in SE Wisconsin, so if anyone has recomendations, that would greatly be appreciated as well.

Where in SE Wisconisn - Milwaukee? Racine? Kenosha?

Depending on your area, this is what I have for Racine
Caterer - I recommend Gooseberriers in Burlington, but there's a whole list of some good ones a few pages down.
DJ - We are going with DJ Silver Spoons
Location - try the Civic Center - they have both reception and ceremony in one spot so it's pretty nice.

Not sure if you picked a specific day in august? but I just looked up Saturdays in august for our dj's and they are available for all but the 25th. Music 2 remember. We love them and were paying 1100 (a discount from a bridal show) but still not bad regular pricing. We get music all night, uplighting, and they are doing the ceremony and actually officianting too.

These are all for the Racine/Kenosha area

Caterers - Infusinos, DeRangos, Danny's Meats, and the Charcoal Grill

Venues - Roma Lodge, Oak Creek Community Center, Marriott, Radisson Hotel, Masonic Center, UW-Parkside, Kemper Center, Infusino's, Veteran's Terrace, Fountain Banquet Hall, Meadowbrook Country Club, Strawberry Creek, Best Western Kenosha, Charcoal Grill, and Civic Center

I would contact your current caterer/DJ first and see if they have any other dates open in August. They may also have connections or ideas for where you could host your wedding.

If you are in the Milwaukee area, I would try for Maggiano's Little Italy at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa. They do all the catering and bar. Otherwise you could try for any of the Bartolotta's facilities. Not sure what your budget is though.
