Question about Registry:

I have been dreading getting the registry done, Fi and I dont live together so we do not own anything as far as putting a house together. I have the day off today...How soon can I set up the registry? I am sending the STDs this week..

    I say as soon as you want.  People will get gifts as they have the extra money, which could be in 2 weeks or in 6 months.  I think it gives them extra time to not have to stress over it!

    I agree... do it as soon as you want... maybe someone will want to send you an engagement gift and a registry can help them

    If you are able to get this done today, that will make for a fun check :)

    Ditto.. you can start whenever you want. I already have mine, and people (my sister) bought us things off it for Christmas. I will make sure that everything is still available closer to the bridal shower and wedding though.

    I started mine before my engagement party in Oct, everyone kept asking where we were registered to send engagement gifts.

    ditto!!!  I loooove doing registry stuff!!  we spent about 4 hours at BBB our first day... since then we've also registered at crate & barrel & macys!  We got engaged in october & did our registries in December, before our engagement party in January... people definitely wanted to know where we were registered & we got some great gifts already from our registries! yay have fun!
