If I saw that the bar was serving drinks in plastic glasses, but I was given a pint glass as a favor, I wouldn't use the pint glass.  IF I took it home (and I probably wouldn't because I don't need a random pint glass), I wouldn't want to use it during the recpetion and then take home a dirty glass.

If you're trying to keep costs down, I don't see how providing glasses that are going to cost at least $1-2 each is less expensive than just using all plastic.

I'd use the plastic cups to drink from. I would assume they were more sanitary than the pint glasses that had been handled and left sitting out... people pick them up, see a smudge, put it back down again...
