okay i keep seeing all this stuff about OOT gift bags for guest. if the OOTers are staying with family who are in town do you still have to make them?? whats proper protocal??

    It's never a requirement that you make them. Usually they're given to make guests feel a little more comfortable when they're staying at a hotel. I probably wouldn't do them for OOT guests who are staying with family.

    I know I'm a little late in responding, but I think I would still do something simple.  No need to spend a ton of money on baskets and what not.  But it would be nice to leave some cookies and a note thanking them for attending.  Just a thought.
