DJ Contract Question

After meeting several DJs, my fiance and I have made our pick from a referral. I have asked the DJ to send me a contract. I need some advice on the following situation...
He is a New York City based DJ and is fully insured. However, it struck me as odd that his contract asked for payments to be sent to an address in Alabama.
I delicately asked if his business was registered in Alabama and he said no, he was registered in NY.
I find this strange and not sure if I should press the situation further.
Should I be alarmed at this? I'm not sure if I am reading too much into it.

Hmm that is a little odd. Are they are chain of companies??

Just ask him why and see what his reasoning is.

I agree, no reason to tiptoe about asking him, it's a legitimate question.  Just say for security and legal purposes, you'd like to know why your payment is out of state.

Agreed. If you don't feel comfortable about anything in the situation, you have every right to ask him a question.
