Parent Dance

I think I want to do a combined father/daughter mother/son dance (I dance the first half, FI the second half). Are any of you doing this? What song are you using?

    We did a combined father-daughter, mother-son dance to Rod Stewart's Forever Young. The lyrics to that song were just perfect. We had the DJ announce me and my Dad first; we danced a bit - then DH and his Mom came out for the last half of the song. That way I still got time on the dance floor with just my Dad.

    That's kind of what I am thinking of doing also. I want to make it less time with the guest sitting around watching and getting bored and more time to having a fun time out on the dance floor.

    We are doing this...Father/daugher and mother/son first half of songThen second half, FI's dad cuts in with me, and FI asks my mom to dance.It symbolizes entering new family.The song we are doing is "In my life" by the beatles Good luck!  I love combined dances.
