It's not folk or bluegrass but What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong is only about 2 1/2 minutes long. Our DJ started playing it softly while he announced the dance and faded it out at the end. We only ended up dancing for just over 1 1/2 minutes.

ETA: There are a lot of versions of You Are My Sunshine (link), most with a country/bluegrass feel. Maybe one would work?

stevie wonder - isn't she lovely is fairly upbeat/short. you could cut out the instrumental part in the middle too.

Our djs were helpful in that they advised us any song would work. They had a general rule of thumb being about 2 choruses and out and the mc announces his thing. Any song would work : )
