It would not be weird at all. My alter arrangements were white and green (random mix decided by my florist...whatever looked best in the arrangement) while my bouquet and my BM bouquet were green and purple with specific flowers picked by me. They definitely didn't match but they did coordinate. As long as you aren't carrying a vintage style bouquet and have tropical themed alter arrangements you should be just fine.
