Does anyone know where to get a nice cake stand for a decent price? I don't really want to rent one because we haven't seen anything we like enough... they're always the silver stands (which are pretty, but people always seem use them, and at this point, I see why... they may be our only option!). We wouldn't mind renting if there was one we liked. Not a fan of the toss out ones either. But our cake baker said we needed about 18 inches minimum, and she recommended Sarah's stands, which are fine, but sooo expensive! I'd rather buy a crystal stand for that price. I don't think we want to go over $120-ish if we're going to buy the stand. I also don't remember the weight she said it needs to hold, but some of these cakes get really heavy. We'll probably have at least 3 teirs, possibly up to 5, so it's got to be a sturdy stand. I've checked Macy's and other places that sell those types of things, but I'm not so sure about the weight those things can hold, and none seem to be nearly big enough in diameter. Where did you guys get your stands? Thanks!

Our cake baker provided us with a different kind of stand.  They're glass blocks (the kind you can find in a home improvement store) with Christmas lights on the inside and flowers (provided by our florist along with the flowers used to decorate the cake).  It sounds odd but it's really pretty and I'm sure much cheaper than many others you'd rent.  Here's a picture so you can see how nice it turns out:
