I'm looking for some unique ceremony ideas that are non-traditional in nature and that would include my 6 year old daughter. My partner and I have been together for 4.5 years and want to have an intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family. He is very anti-wedding and I like things that are unique and different. We have something that is especially us that will serve the purpose of publically unifying our family. My daughter adores her "Daddy Joe" as much as I do! Any ideas????

we were married in october and I have three children in their 20"s and my new wife has a six year old daughter. we did a sand ceremony, we all had different color sand and combined it in one vase to smbolize us becoming one family.
Since there is only one child in your situation, i have seen the new parent give the child a necklace or braclet during the ceremony to show the are a family.
Just some ideas
