Hello All,

My partner would like to have a beautiful suit for our wedding but is having trouble finding something and finding a good tailor. I think she wants something a degree above like a JCrew or Banana Republic suit. We are in DC and she has looked for custom made suits but they all seem to men's suits and she would prefer a women's suit or a custom suit made for a woman, not a men's suit tailored for her.

Just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions or tips! Thanks!

I still think its easier to find a decent fitting mens suit for cheap and then spend more money on tailoring. Thats what I did. If she doesnt want to look femanine, thats the best way. All the womens suits I found were too femanine for me.

It is very frustrating trying to find non-traditional wedding wear for a female! We ended up piecing together a suit for my wife-to-be. We found a double-breasted tux jacket at White House-Black Market and dress slacks as Von Maur both are winter white and luckily match in color! We are in Iowa, so pickin's are slim. Good luck!
