I know Tiger's wedding is coming up. And I'm pretty sure there is a Feb. bride here. I feel like it's been a while since someone actually got married from NEY. ruh roh, is this a sign (kidding)!
There weren't as many Christmas/New Year engagements as I had anticipated either. Does anyone have any tinglings about Valentine's Day. Or anyone have any predictions coming up?
Maybe I'm feeling lovey dovey recently, but I can't wait to see all your post wedding AW's. There's been so many fittings and venue booking, I want to see everything in action. I think this September is the big NEY month this year. Yay! I feel like I need a master list of NEYers getting married this year.
I hope this post doesn't lead to anything BSC! I have no tinglings of an engagement any time soon.

I would definitely enjoy a list at the top. Not sure how people would feel about it, but I get excited when someone's wedding is coming up, but I don't want to throw it in anyone's face that's not in a great place or antsy. Or give fuel to the crazy newb fire when they are all "Why are all you engaged and married biznatches here! I'm going to weddingbee!!" Haha!
But really, i feel bad for the Feb bride I can't remember. I swear there's at least one out there. Come out, come out wherever you are!

I don't remember there being a February bride, so I feel really bad, too, if there is one!
Nursey's is March 10. Mine is March 24. We are leaning heavily on each other to stay sane in these last few weeks :)

Sweet baby jeebus that's what I was worried about. My bachelorette party is two weekends before the G2G and then its memorial day weekend and then June is here and I have 3 weeks before I leave for Maui. Bring on the anxiety attacks! I wonder how Elle feels?

I like to see whose wedding is coming up too. And it does seem like it's been a while. I think we'll be making up for that soon though because it does seem like there are a lot coming up.
Yeah, I am excited that I have a date twin! I always get excited when I see your ticker, Swhite, because I know it's the same for me, lol.
I also don't remember a February bride. Are we still doing that Sisterhood of the Traveling Knot thing?

I got an email from theWeddingChannel yesterday that said something like "4 months to go! Here's what's next on your checklist." and I got all tingly for a minute. 4 months. How did that happen? How did 13 months of engagement already disappear?

I don't want to do it if it's gonna be a "thing" especially with the "I like/don't like WR threads" going on below in the confessions thread. But now that people mentioned it I totally remember the "Wedding Dates of Posters" sticky. Why was it taken down in the first place?
And ignore my "who's the Feb bride" nonsense. It must have just been someone who posted a couple of times and moved on .

Yup!
It's even crazier when I think about how I started posting here 3 months before H and I got engaged, then we were engaged for 14 months, and now we've already been married for 3. I've been here for almost 2 YEARS already...how the hell did that happen?

Ladies, I went from NEY to engaged to married to pushing a watermelon out my vag in (God willing he stays in there and keeps cooking) 15 weeks.
Sheeeeeit.
The last 2 years have FLOWN by. It's true what they say -- it flies when you're having fun. :)
I also liked having a sticky with wedding dates. Not sure why it went away.

Tiger and I are date twins. Haha. I won't lie. I've been taking mini breaks from the knot because the ticker was causing some anxiety. We got engaged in December, so we haven't had a very long engagement. We finally have everything going at a steady pace, so I'm fine now. Haha.

Danish Man has a friend he's known since high school. Beginning of last year he broke up with his GF. So when we made up our guest list, and its a tight guest list of just family and severely close friends. We decided to just invite his friend. We have other single friends that are attending that understand that if they meet someone between then and the wedding that they can come to Maui but not attend the wedding and those people we cool with it.
Anyways.... a late last year we found out that Chris, Danish Man's friend has a new girlfriend.... few weeks later we find out they are engaged. Last night I found out they are getting married in Maui in 10 DAYS. We had hoped that Chris would remember what we told him about our guest list, but now Danish Man and I realize that we will have to invite Chris, his soon to be wife and her toddler daughter to the wedding if we want to invite Chris. Which is 2 more guests we don't have room for. The wedding is capped at 49, any more, even one person and we have to shell out an extra $500.
The man moves quick, and I'm happy that they found love and are getting married, but it just puts me in a scramble. So the only solutions are 1) they decline and don't come, 2) other guests decline and don't come to make room for them 3) fork over more money so that we can accommodate them. Bleh.... trying to stay on budget sucks.

Oooo - that's a sticky one Lyn. Wonder what his rush to getting married is? Well, that part's none of my business! I say you stick to your guns on your original decision and maybe Danish Man can gently remind the guy about that decision? $500 is a lot of money, especially when you have a specific, strict budget. I don't think it's worth going over your budget. Maybe FI can explain that too?

I agree with Meg. That is a tricky situation. I don't think I could handle spending an extra 500$ on that one person. I'm usually clueless as far as etiquette goes so I'm not sure what is correct, but I think I'd rather give up my meal and seat than pay an extra 500$ lol.

It does... It really, really does. I've decided just not to worry about anymore. lol.
I'm having a guest list dilemma of my own. It's not financial... more like... ethical? I haven't posted about because I know what all the responses will be anyway.

I fail, too. I just got a photographer like, yesterday. I still haven't sent my BMs their packages, so I don't have a WP yet. I know what bakery we're going to use, I think, but I haven't set that up either. No cake, no WP, no flowers...
