This one newspaper makes you write your own announcement and I'm sucking at this. This is all I have and I don't like it: Sarah Lastname and Timothy Lastname were married on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Brentwood Golf Club in Brentwood. The Sunday morning wedding was followed by a beautiful reception at The Nines at the golf club.

    This is what I have: Sarah and Timothy were married on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Brentwood Golf Club in Brentwood. The Sunday morning wedding was followed by a beautiful reception at The Nines at the golf club. The newlyweds would like to thank all of their friends and family for being a special part of their wedding celebration.

    It sounds like too many "at the"s at the end of the first paragraph. Otherwise I like it.

    i sit me or is "at the nines at the golf club" too many at's??? It sounds awkward. Whats the name of the golf club? What is "the nines"?

    You can talk about where you went to school, what you do for a living, where you went on a honeymoon, where you currently reside.

    Unemployed, went to Maui, currently staying with in-laws while were moving because of possible jobs - yay!

    Names of parents? The bride is the daughter of X and Y, of Somewhere, California. The bridegroom is the son of X and Y, of Somewhere, California. Our announcement had the names of those in the WP as well, calling special attention to siblings in the WP.

    I would find a wedding announcement you really like, and just change out all the details to match yours.  You know, just follow the flow of how the described their life and event, but with your info.

    We are unemployed too, so it just lists where I went to school and DH's military service. Ours is something like this: Smith -- Jones Gretchen Middlename Smith and Nelson Middlename Jones were united in marriage May 30 at Amarante's Sea Cliff in New Haven. She is the daughter of _____ and _____ Smith of _____, and he is the son of Dad's name of _____ and Mom's name of Greenbelt, Md. Taylor Lastname and Amanda Lastname were maids of honor. Zack and Will Lastname, the bride's brothers, and Lauren Lastname attended. Christina Lastname, the bridegroom's sister, ushered with Josh Lastname, Michael Lastname, Justin Lastname and Reymund Lastname. Following a reception at Amarante's, the couple departed for a honeymoon in Paradise Island, Bahamas. They reside in ______, but are both formerly of _____. The bride is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. The bridegroom is a two-time U.S. Army war veteran who served as a cavalry scout with the 101st Airborne Division.
