Fiance and I are sure that we want to write our own vows, but I have also always imagines myself saying the tradtional vows as well. Maybe everyone seems to do both, but it seems like people are saying OR alot. Would it be too much if we both said the 'I do" then said the vows we wrote for one another, and then said the tradtional 'repeat after me, with this ring"

I was thinking the same thing! I definitely want to do the traditional vows but there is something about being able to say your own vows as well. Every wedding that I have been to where they say their own vows are so moving. I always cry! The great thing about planning a wedding is that we get to make these decisions. So I am right there with you on wanting to do both! :)

I'm also going to be doing both. I feel the same way. I'm KIND OF a traditional person, but I am also very personal., so I know what you mean.

We are doing traditional vows "repeat after me, i do, etc"
as well as personalized promises "I promise to ....."
