Stressed out? Ready to smack your FMIL, MOH, or both? Do it! Or tell us all about it and keep your hands to yourself.
H and I ran some errands last week, then came home.  I walked upstairs to see a lit candle.  Promptly ran over and blew it out.  Thank you Jesus that the scent was "firewood".

eek.

i get nervous about the stove, because i have left the oven on all day without noticing. the beauty of living in a building is that they pump heat all day long as if there's a pipeline directy down into the earth to all the free gas you can ever ask for,

I did this not long ago. Got home from work only to walk in and smell the candle we have in the basement. Knowing it had been at least two days since either DH or I had been down there I run down to see that yep, the candle I lit last time was in fact still burning. I didn't tell DH. IDK how he didn't smell it though.

On a side note, the large jar Yankee candles have a LONG burn time.

At least you get your money's worth, right?  :)

I've left a candle burning over night in my bathroom before.  The one that's, you know, connected to my bedroom.    Waking up in a panic is not fun.

Candles scare me.  I won't light them unless I know we won't be leaving the room while they are lit.  Maybe if it weren't for the cat I wouldn't be so scared.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

Candles do not enter my home.
