Best Way to Store my Dress Before Wedding
Looking for the perfect dress, jewelry, shoes, and everything underneath? And don’t forget the groom.
Hello ladies! I ordered my dress from lightinthebox.com and it's on it's way to my parent's house from China as we speak. My wedding isn't until July 2013 and my mom will be storing it at their house

Hello ladies! I ordered my dress from lightinthebox.com and it's on it's way to my parent's house from China as we speak. My wedding isn't until July 2013 and my mom will be storing it at their house until I start alterations. What's going to be the best way to store it until tten? Should I leave it in the box? Hang it up? If so, should it be in a plastic bag or a breatheable cloth one? Thanks a ton!

I would call a dress salon and get their personal opinion on what to do. They will be able to tell you what works best for the type of fabric you have.
I would never have the guts to buy a dress that early. I would change my mind in that amount of time. lol

If it's not too heavy then hang it in a breathable bag in a dark, dry closet. If it is heavy then wrap it in a cotton sheet and lay it flat under a bed (if your parents don't have any pets that can get to it).
