I don't understand Pearl's Place. Help please.
Looking for the perfect dress, jewelry, shoes, and everything underneath? And don’t forget the groom.
How do you know what they have? When I click on a designer, it takes me to that website. Do they carry everything and just order it? I am looking for Mori Lee- Affairs BM dresses. How do I see prices

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Hey,
I know someone who ordered from them a few years ago. I think their website isn't too helpful, and if i recall, you have to call them and ask if they carry a specific design, get the price, etc.
Good luck!

I'm not sure exactly how they work with online/out of state orders, but it is a brick and mortar store in my town which I pass by frequently since it is near my office, and they are legitimate.

You'll need to call them with the designer name and style to see if they have it and to get a price quote.

Have all your girls tried the dress on?  They prefer to sell over the phone to people who have tried the dress on previously.

I have a potential huge issue with the shop my girls have ordered with.

Long story short, they have been super unprofessional since the day I got engaged and looked at wedding dresses. Without all the soon-to-be ex-friend/BM drama, they ordered a dress that hadn't been approved by the BM. The deposit wasn't made, so it shouldn't have been ordered. They are trying to say I have to pay for the dress, according to ex-BM. (Each girl is paying for their own) I am going in to talk to them today and see what can be worked out.

I am worried they will mess up our order. (since BMs sister works there and has access.) If our order comes in wrong, I will pay what my girls are out and order them somewhere else. (and the shop can deal with the unpaid dresses) Only problem is they are the only shop in town that carry Mori Lee. (We have two shops). I am trying to see what my options are.

If you want to see the dresses and prices then try JaysBridal.com.  They're a brick and mortar store located in Gainesville, FL.  I purchased from them for my gown as well as my BM dresses.

We ordered all our dresses from Pearl's Place last summer.  They do NOT give prices on the internet.  You telephone them during business hours with the style number you want for a price quote.  If you want to order, you do it over the phone.  They do not like to sell you a dress that you haven't tried on somewhere.  Like most bridal shops, all sales are final, unless there is a mistake.  They asked for our measurements, and asked about length and the height of the girls.  After our order, we received a receipt in the mail.  The dresses came about 4 months later.  We were very pleased, and saved a lot of money.
They do carry Maggie Sottero, but cannot discount those dresses.

Thanks guys!
I went to talk to the shop today and they were very willing to fix the issue. I am feeling much better about the whole issue and I think we will stick it out there. I did get a copy of the order form just in case something isn't right when they come in.

For many reasons they would like you to call them for prices.  They send you emails and size charts immediately.  All you need to do is call them.  I frankly prefer a store that wants to speak with you as a wedding is very important and should be discussed and made sure it is correct.  Not just a click on order thing to me.

Fawn I am not sure by your post, did you have issues with Pearl's Place?  I am sure they will fix all.  They are an excellent store and very well regarded on this board.

A brick and mortar store is one that is not only selling online but has a real store.  Those stores are valid retailers for the designers that they sell.  There are not many of those and Pearl's Place is one and I think has the longest record of selling on the web also.

like many local boutiques the website is generally used to show they carry certain designers and not designed specifically for ordering online. you can check the website it directs you to (mori lee) and find the list of retailers near you.
