I am so lost as to what to do for hair & jewelry. If you're bored and want to give me some input I'd appreciate it :)
Here's the dress (on model): http://www.morilee.com/bridals/blu/4601
and on me--when I bought it (it still hasn't come in yet so I don't have any pictures where it actually fits me)
There is a bit of "bling" on the top at the neckline and on the side/back

Here are my thoughts. For my hair I want something "up" but low on my head. Or to the side. If that makes sense. The ceremony is outside and I don't want it blowing all over. I am unsure of a veil. I know it would mean a lot to my grandma but I don't personally care if I wear one or not. If I did a veil I wouldn't want it over my face when I come down the aisle or anything. I kind of like birdcage veils but I don't know if that would look good with my dress :-/
I would like some kind of hair accessory. I like headbands, hair flowers and hairclips (individually..I wouldn't do all of them!) but I am struggling to find something that I love and I guess with the uncertainity of the veil I don't know which direction to go in. I like crystals and/or pearls. This is the thing I've liked the most so far that I've found but it's too expensive. I do have very dark hair so whatever I put in it will probably "pop" a lot.

I do want to wear earrings. I don't think I want to wear a necklace. FI's only request is that I got a strapless dress so he can see my collarbones (apparently I have nice collarbones) so I don't want to distract from that lol. Should I do fancier earrings then?
I'm so confused. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. If you made it this far, bless you.

Since there is some bling at the top of the dress, i would either go with a very simple necklace (if any) or get really nice blingy earrings and dont do a necklace. You dont want it to compete with the top of the dress. :)

I would skip a necklace and do some fabulous earrings.
As far as the veil, could you wear one just for the ceremony, then switch to some sort of headband or clip for the reception? That's what I'm planning on doing so I can appease the older generation and still keep my style.

I agree with rachers, loving the headpiece so wear it for the reception and a veil for the ceremony. Birdcage veils are gorgeous, I think it mostly depends on your theme if it is suitable (I have a country wedding, so in my case I think it would look weird). Also, fabulous earrings and no necklace sounds so lovely, I love the cut and style of your dress so you do not need a necklace at all. Even more so with the bling on top

Only thing to consider about the birdcage, many guys don't get it/realize it is the style. That's not to say that you shouldn't do it, but it might be worth a conversation. My FH said 'that's weird' when I mentioned it to him, and since it wasn't important to me, I'm going with a sparkly hair comb. (No offense to those of you who are doing them. I think they look awesome!)
I think statement earings with a comb would be great. Most hairdressers can do your hair in an updo that will work with a veil, then show your BM how to switch it out for a comb.
