I read a while ago about someone that got a photobooth for her wedding at a really good price. If anyone has done this or is doing this at a good price please let me know. FH would like to this if we can afford it but the prices I found are above what we can pay. Please let me know if you are using or doing this and the average prices I should expect. TIA

We won ours through a charity silent auction. Opening bid was 1/2 of what the service normally costs and we were the only bidders.

If you have a DSLR, you can set it on a tripod and tether it to your laptop. Then people can use a remote to take the pic, and see it on the laptop.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

I don't know what a good price to you is but I'm from Michigan and the best I could find is $750 for 6 hours dress up box and scrapbook included. The other companies I checked out wanted a couple hundred more than that and some of them wanted to charge extra for scrapbook and dress up.

That sounds like a good price, I found here $695 for 2 hrs and the prints for the guests. In my opinion two hrs is enough but the price is higher here comparing what you get for $55 more.

I would check with them and see if they pack up after the 2 hours or they come back later because that could be a hassle during your reception to have them putting everything away unless you could have them set up out of the way of all reception festivities.

My friend had a photo booth and she had it for 4 hours and there was a line constantly. She had about 150 guests. People like to take multiple pictures with multiple people. Check on your local Craigslist and see what they have to offer. I found several on the Omaha Craigslist but they were all way over what I would want to spend.

Yes, I would do this. Another girl told me she got hers trough Groupon and got it for $199...I would keep my fingers crossed :)

Also look at craigslist in your local area as well as livingsocial and groupon. In my area it is also pricy for a photobooth but a new upstart is only charging us $300.
