My ceremony is outside in an area where i will need to rent a arch and i can get it through my caterer. I am having a hard time finding basic pricing of them online to compare. If anyone else is having to rent one id really apprecicate your input.

Im looking at a bamboo one that has the shells hanging down the back side because it will be right by the water. The girl with my caterer said it will run about $350. Im just curious if thats a resonable price or not? or if i need to think about something else.

You don't really need one, there's plenty of outdoor wedding photos that look gorgeous with only the natural scenery.

That said, if you still want one go for it, but sorry I can't help with that (indoor bride here)

The pricing will depend on your area, but for a fully decorated arch, the price sounds pretty reasonable. To rent/buy a plain one I've found prices from $50-$150 depending on what its made out of. Adding decor (also depending on what it is) could easily be another $50-$200.

I bought one with lights for $30 after coupon, I am adding flowers to it. To rent one that was a bit bigger from local places not decorated was about $80 but they were metal.

Sounds reasonable to me. If they don't have one, they have to purchase it, also have to decorate it.

Check craigslist! I found a lighted one for $30 obo, i offered $15 and got it at that if i would pick it up! Easy peasy and not hurting the planet either!

I got the white metal framed one with lights from Michaels. Used a 50% off coupon so got it for $20. Bought some tulle on ebay and at the dollar tree (white tulle only) and all in it cost me less than $30. And, I figure I can resell it after the wedding to recoup some money.

thanks everyone for the ideas and advice!

I think i might actually be leaning against using one all together now to cut that cost out. the background is beautiful enough! well just have a unity sand table and that is it
