Location one:
More convienent, nice inside, smaller, brighter colors
Location two:
Larger, nicer outside, darker colors, slightly further, family connection.

Based on your description, both sound fine. Depending on how many people you are inviting, I might go for the bigger one.

I agree, unless it's way out of your budget, I'd go for the bigger one.
