Budget first.
Guest list second.
Venue third.  You need to know your budget and approximate # of people before picking venue.  In most cases, your date is not set until you have a venue booked.  If you're getting married during a peak time of the year, you may have trouble finding a venue with dates open, especially this close to the date you want.

You will need to get a dress off the rack with only three months out.

Figure out now what things are important and what are not.  Three months is not a ton of time, so unless you want to devote yourself to wedding planning full time (you don't) you should figure out now what you absolutely need (examples: dress, venue, officiant, invitations, photographer, caterer), what would be nice to have (examples: flowers, DJ, centerpieces), and what's really not necessary.

Good luck!  Can I ask why such a short engagement?

Use the checklist in the tools section, it'll help you out a lot! Obviously you'll have to disregard the time frame, because you'll be working with a shorter time frame, but it has a list of all the things you need to do.

I know plenty of weddings have been planned in three months. But if you're not giving yourselves a lot of time, you need to be really determined. Quick, final decisions are a must.

Depending on your area, vendors may be booked (often, they're booked a year or more in advance), so know that you might not get THE best DJ in your region, or your first choice of photographers.

Honestly, I would only do this to myself if I were planning a VERY small, very simple wedding.

You can totally plan a wedding in 3 months!

First set a budget.
Then determine your guest list.
Based on those two items you should be able to choose your big three: ceremony site (officiant), reception site, caterer (for me, all three were the same - which made things easier).
Then pick up the other stuff like photogragper, DJ, Cake, Dress, flowers, and invitations.

Remember to not sweat the small stuff - like having the perfect centerpieces.
Remember you can skip things - like favors or a limo.
This should make planning easier.

1- Budget
2- Guest List
3- Venue(s) + Food
4- Dress , you'll probably have to pick something off tha rack though.  3 months is not enough time for them to order one.

The rest is fluff.  Your invites have to go 6-8 weeks in advance so that's probably the next thing I'd do.  Entertainement, photo, video right after and decor dead last.

Good Luck
