Is anyone doing this?

I just spent about an hour and a half making a really cute wedding newsletter. Then I thought, is that super geeky? Haha.. I'm not sure what I would think if I received one as a bridesmaid. It looks really cute but I'm not sure if it's too informal.

I made 3 installments of our "Aisle File" newsletter for the WP :) The first was just for the BMs, then one intro'ing the WP to each other, and the last 3 weeks before the wedding with all the details. They might have thought I was crazy, but they all had the info they needed, we didn't have to have 30 conversations, and they all knew the same stuff as the rest! Worked great for us.

**raises hand**I've actually sent out three of them...and have a 4th edition ready to go.  My bridesmaids have all loved them...I just embraced my geeky bridalness and put it all out there.  It's been a great way for me to keep them informed about what they should know.  I just emailed the newsletter to them to save on paper and ink!

Did you send anything to the guys at all? I'm not going to send them the same thing I'm making for all of the ladies in the party because it's focused mostly on dresses, flowers, etc.

My second Aisle File was for both the guys and girls - we actually printed those ones and had the tux info on it as well as including the post card in the envelope we hand delivered. The third also had info on it for the whole WP (logistics - where to be when, etc.).

Yup! I have done one so far, and will probably do a couple more before our day, and one for the week of, which will include the timeline.

No, and I don't appreciate you putting any more ideas into my head! Aisle File...too cute. WAY too cute for its own good. I have sent out a few "here's where we are" emails to the BMs and mothers though. It helps to keep everyone on the same page.

Bimbi - Our WP was asking for our details 2-3 weeks ahead of time. If I were on my game, I would have had it out at 3 weeks to go, but I think I actually didn't have it out until 10 days beforehand now that I think of it. I could have saved myself a lot of "don't ask - I'm sending something tomorrow! [argh] [insert annoying sigh here]" thoughts if I had mine out sooner. Just an FYI/stress reducing tactic for you :)

Thanks for the info LS! I probably would get them the details earlier, but a "final" itinerary the week before. So basically, it will be drilled into their heads and they will not have any excuses for not knowing any of it...lol.

Does anyone have a picture or a file of the newsletter to share. I would love to see it!
