Marrying a Lebanese Maronite - Traditions?

Hi everyone,

My fiancé is a Maronite Catholic from Lebanon, and I'm an American. My future mother-in-law is planning a huge traditional ceremony, but I'm not really sure what that means. Does anyone know anything about the traditions of a Lebanese wedding?

Geeze these boards yield the bitchiest responses. Of course we could google all of this, and then it would render these boards completely useless, wouldn't it? These boards, in fact, the build the content that appear upon Googling related search terms.

I don't see how bigvoice's response was bitchy. Asking the FMIL is what I would advise, but of course there is a possibility that the OP and her FMIL don't have a common language they can communicate in. And I personally know nothing of Lebanese traditions either, so I would have to Google as well.

I don't think the response was bitchy either. My response was going to be to ask her FI.
