So I have been thinking about creating a madlib to have guests fill out instead of (or in addition to) a generic guestbook.  However, when I have been doing research I question if I should do a 'real' madlib or some version of it.  From my childhood I remember real madlibs you pick verb/nouns/etc without knowing what you are picking them for, then fill in the blanks with the words and get a funny story.  HOWEVER, there is part of me that would think it woudl be easier and possibly even more funny if people just filled in the blanks (still with noun/verb/etc underneith the line), but KNOWING what they are filling the blanks in for.  Obviously from the more serious guest we could get some very cute/sweet notes and then for those that are a bit funnier/wilder we could get some totally outragous stories.
Regardless, the point of my question is would it be weird to have a madlib that didn't have a 'hidden' section for the fill in the blank... just have people fill in the blanks of the story as they found fit.  If I did it that way, should I call it something other than a madlib?
Thanks!

I'm doing them, too and here is the one I did.  I figure it's generic enough that the older, more reserved guest will give us real advice while the younger, wilder ones will have more fun with it.

My name is______________________________________. I've known the bride/groom/couple since______________.(year) When I

heard that John and Casandria were engaged to be married, I__________________________________________________________(verb)

and then I screamed_____________________________________________________________________________________! (exclamation) I wish the happy

couple ______________________________________________(adjective) _________________________________________(plural noun) for many, many years to come.

My REALLY brilliant advice? Don't forget to ________________________________________________________(verb) before and after

you __________________________________________________________ (verb). Casandria, you should always_________________________________________________(verb)

John's ____________________________________________________(noun) and John, you should always ______________________________________________________(verb)

Casandria's ___________________________________________________________(noun). Best wishes!

I have madlibs I made in my bio; They're wedding related and guests filled them out knowing what the storyline was

The template is there if you want to use it!

I used Hannah's Mad Lib as a template for mine. It was really easy to replace her name with mine and her DH with Josh's.

@hz80408: Can you tell me how to get to the templete? I am looking to do a MadLibs, as well. And I have not been able to find a template yet. I am not very good with finding stuff on here. Thanks!
