I just started planning our wedding and I am so excited!!!
At the same time there are so many details in organizing a wedding that sometimes makes me feel overwhelmed.
A few friends offered me help to organize things and my fiance is really involved in all the planning. This made me relax again. lol
I still have a good time until the wedding.  But I feel SO excited!!!!
I just wanted to share my excitement and hear from other brides that are feeling the same.
So how are you feeling girls?

    I started 3 weekes ago, so you can imagine how I am feeling!
    Tomorrow my fiance and I will start looking for places for ceremony/reception.  I can wait to visit those places!

    Congratulations and welcome to the board!  The knot was the most helpful site for wedding planning.  It saved my budget haha!

    I would get excited every time we booked a new vendor. My absolute favorite things were dress shopping and cake tasting. Yum!!!

    Do you have any ideas of what you want your day to look like so far?

    The reason I decided to write in here was really just to talk about how I am feeling with women who are passing this same time of life as me.
    But it is a good idea to participate of my local board and maybe get some ideas too.
    My fiance and I talked about a few things. First of all what we decided was to have a nice small wedding instead of one with a large number of guest and a not so nice.  Also we are planning in buy a house around one year after the wedding, so we would like to not spend too much money in the wedding and stop paying rent faster.
    Both  my fiance and I agree with 10 thousand dollars budget.  But after doing a little research I don't think we can have what want to this much. Then the budget will be between 10 and 15 thousand.
    We want to have both the ceremony and reception at the same place.  We picked 7 places from a regional bride's magazine.  We have appointments to visit 4 places this week and we are going to visit the next 3 next week.  I can't wait  Laughing
    All places we picked have space outdoors for ceremony.  Since our wedding is  going to be on Spring time I think it will be really beautiful.
    All places have packages that includes 5 hours reception. 1 hour cocktail and 4 hours sit down diner. 5 hours open bar. Cake and deserts also included.
     We are going to have on a Sunday because price ranges are lower.  The places we picked range from 65 to 100 per person. Is it a good price?
    For now that all we have put together.
    I will be happy to hear your opinion.

    our budget is about 5k for about 200 guests. so you definitly CAN make 10k work for a small guestlist.

    Congratulations! This is such an exciting time! We've been engaged a month yesterday and haven't started the actual planning yet, just enjoying being engaged for a little while. But i've been doing research and that part is very exciting!! Enjoy every second!!

    Congrats!!!!! I've been planning my wedding for almost three months now and the more I look into things like reception sites, dresses etc. the excitement comes back to me everytime!!!

    Is it fun do chose things for wedding?
    Today I went to bakery to have breakfast with my mother so we could talk and very close to the bakery there is a store with bridal dresses.
    I asked my mother to stop by quickly just to take a look.  The store is very small and I didn't think they would have anything interesting. I wanted to go just for the fun of looking.
    I was so wrong!
    The didn't have many dresses because of the limited space.  But the lady who helped my mother and I treated us the perfect way.  She showed us the store, but at the same time she wasn't pushy.  The dresses weren't so many, but they had a catalog with all the dresses.  And the dresses......so beautiful and so cheap!
    I don't want to spend more than 1000 dollar with my dress.  And at their store the dresses prices were all lower than 1000 dollar and looked just like a dream.
    Here comes my excitement again! lol
