My fiance and I are planning on getting joint accounts once we get married and have a joint savings account already to save up for things that we will be paying for wedding-wise. Just wondering how many others are combining accounts post-wedding or did already and feelings about it?
For us, we are both teachers so we make very similar salaries (the only reason he makes slightly more is because he's older and has been working longer) and since I've moved in, we split expenses 50/50 so it makes sense to me. We are very honest with each other about finances which I know is really important for anyone deciding to do this.
Thoughts?
