I think it's weird how much Holly# talks about how her FI pays for stuff.  She always points out "FI said he'd buy this for me, he's so great to me."  The other day she was talking about how her instrument cost her $1500 but then added "well, my FI" in parentheses.  She mentions it a lot and I don't understand why she feels the need to make the distinction over whose money it is - you're getting married, you're a team.

This is the first time I've started FFF - you guys better jump in!

....and go!

I would like to flame BubbsNBubbs and anyone else who feels the need to post articles and whatever about people on the internet giving bad etiquette advice. I don't really care about that, I refulse to clutch my pearls about it and I also will not think you are awesome for recognizing bad etiquette. In short, I don't care.

Argh, there were 2 e-related flames I had that I wanted to do, but now I can't think of them.  Hopefully someone else mentions them.

There was a bit of cray-cray on the WP board this week, including one person who wanted to kick out a bridesmaid because of the poor girl's chronic pain issues.  It just boggles my mind that people are so insensitive STILL that they think its ok to treat friends like crap.

Here is my thing. I give my friend's a lot of leeway on their bad decisions. If a girlfriend of mine is wearing white after labor day, I might cringe but I don't say anything. But if some random chick walking down the street does it? Oh hell no I judge. The same is said for things wedding planning related on this site. I guess that is my flaw, I am very judgmental of people I don't know.

That being said, kwilliams is outright killing me. First with the wedding website crap (calling bay a twatwaffle?) then with saying that her venue will cut liquor out of the drinks but not tell her guests if they (the venue) feel that the guests are getting too drunk, and then with her weddings with kids are REAL comment.

I don't know what she did to "redeem" herself for acting crazy in her first thread, but I am not buying it. People need to bust out some TK party lines on her STAT.

See, I forgot Kwilliams first intro to the board.  It was bad, really bad (that's when she called Bay a twatwaffle I believe) and she realised she was brutal and came back better, but I think now she's trying too hard and it's coming across a whole different way.

In Response to Re: Wedding Website Etiquette : Yea ok - never said I wanted validation for my idea.  I never even said it was a good idea.  I have already owned up to the fact that I TOOK all of the feedback and decided to change the idea.  I was merely commenting on the aggravated, aggressive tones of the comments I received. Just wondering...how are the following responses "extremely respectful"? "That seems like a terrible idea." "FFS, it's not a roster." "What could possibly compel someone to think that is an okay idea?" "I'm not totally getting what you'll gain from this. It seems like a terrible idea." "You're acting like a massive twatwaffle." "Eh, let's just hope her future offspring don't turn out to be like her." And I hate to break it to you, "baystateapple", but you are indeed the twatwaffle in this situation: twatwaffle watwaffle (twat-wah-full): n.1 An elitist; someone unaware of their own limitations and highly critical of others.

Not TK-related, but this thread seems to be a little sluggish.

I flame the guy dressed up as Lady Liberty who advertises the tax place up the street from my house. Look dude, I'm sorry that you make a living standing by the street waving at people in the freezing cold, but just because I didn't wave back doesn't mean you have to flip me the bird.

(Cross-board flame, I apologize in advance)

I am totally flaming Simply Fated for her responses in this thread:

http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_snarky-brides_replacing-bridesmaids-gay-bridal-attendant-etc-long

She was so busy being bitchy to the OP she missed a couple important things in the post, and came across as an ass.

Kwilliams is annoying.

I was annoyed with Aliegh in the Monday night thread when she being a SAHM would make going to college a waste of time. She later clarified that she meant it was just her opinion, but I think these are the kind of areas we need to think twice about before posting. Because there are plenty of SAHW/Ms here who went to college and plenty more educated women who would love to SAH and throwing around stuff like this is how mom wars happen. I also just happen to be of the opinion that no education is a waste.

Yeah I did call her one first.  So while I think it was lame that she busted out the dictionary definition, it's not really the same as firing it off at me unbidden.

But yeah, wow, that was only 3 weeks ago!  I don't think I'd have the sack to come in here pretending to be besties with people I'd just acted like a jerk to.  I'm kind of surprised at her turnaround time.

It seemed like everyone was all up her butt when she came into Habs' thread talking about how she's changed her tune. Throughout the whole thing, though, she kept saying, "Let's talk about me!" It rubbed me the wrong way.

She's also turned into quite the poster, popping up in everything and giving (usually) bad advice. I don't get it.

This is my main issue with her. I liked her at first (missed the original thread and didn't bother to go back and look at it), but I worried all the flattery would go to her head and she'd get annoying about it. And that's exactly what happened. Then the obnoxious REALwedding comment, and her even more obnoxious reaction to my comment about it, I'm not a fan.

Oh well. When I started writing it there weren't any responses yet. I don't usually get to a FFF until it's already 4-5 pages long and so I was kind of overeager to participate but I couldn't think of anything from TK. Sorry. :-/

I like kwilliams as well, but it does seem like she's trying too hard to 'fit in'.  I don't necessarily 'fit in' with the regs, but I still post and add to discussions, and I don't think I'm trying to fit in, I'm just trying to give advice and join conversations.

Also I flame the ppl who all think children are going to run around like monsters at their wedding.  I feel like I've seen a lot of posts around that theme this week, particularly the one who was afraid the kids would eat all the candy at her candy bar and be hyped up on sugar.  a) Sugar doesn't make you hyper and b) Other desserts have sugar too.  And c) the kids will be fine.

Ugh.  Thank you!  I'm glad someone else noticed that, it was majorly annoying.  I was trying to annoy it to not feed it, but people were more posting sarcastic questions to her/about her.  It seemed she wasn't quite picking up on the sarcasm of that.

Also, Toothpaste posts in all sorts of WR threads. She gives AWFUL advice and seems incapable of clicking that little check mark at the bottom of the text box.

If you don't know what you're talking about, shut up, or ask for clarification.

I was too riled up about Cindy in that thread to notice her after page 1.

She did come on in the first page acting normal and then ya, that "lets talk about me" stuff started and that's where it got all kinds of weirdo and her head grew.  But I was ignoring her and focusing on Cindy at that point.  And then I missed the banimation because I had to go on site for a bit and I flame me for missing the best ban of my knot career.
