I did a post regarding the "Teddy Toss".....I was planning on doing goody bags for all the kids but our reception site is very strict on what we can not include in our bags..

What we can not include:
Bubbles, crayons, markers,pens, birdseed, confetti

So....what do you recommend in these bags???

There are tons of things on sites like Oriental Trading Co that make decent goody-bag fillers. Things like puzzles, paper dolls, kaleidoscopes..

We made a goody bag for our FG. It had bubbles, coloring books, colored pencils, two sticker books, Silly Putty, a miniature Etch-a-Sketch and a ribbon wand. I know you can't use everything on that list, but she loved it all.

I think ring pops would be cute.
Are colored pencils allowed? If so that would be good with some coloring pages. You could print the pages online and create booklets yourself to save money.

Seriously, no crayons? It is a sad day when you can't give a kid a crayon. How about a game or toy, like uno cards or a mini etch-a-sketch?

Depending on the age of the kid:

- mini lego sets
- playdough
- various card games you can get from the dollar tree
- sidewalk chalk (if there is outdoor space)
- mad libs

I understand the no-crayons rule. Have you ever had to clean up melted crayon? It's nearly impossible.

That's where I'm getting mine. Also, can you play around the rules? Did they say anything about colored pencils? ;) Oriental trading has a ton of fun (inexpensive) fillers, they even provide festive boxes to put everything in. Or the target $1 section often times has a lot of fun things for kids.

I'm putting in some silly straws I got from the party store, a couple little games I got from walmart in the party section. One is a little marble you have to get through the maze, some teddy grahms and a juice box. (AND crayons and a color book.... but you can't have those!)

we did not do goody bags, but I put together stuff for the tables. I filled mason jars with crayons, put some Silly Bands around the jars, and left several paper squares at the tables I knew kids would be at. it kept many of them entertained (that didn't bring their Nintendo DSes!) until the DJ brought his goodies (blow up guitars, microphones, glow sticks, etc) out to the dance floor!

Jigsaw Puzzles are a good activity. You can choose which level of difficulty based on ages. Rather than keeping them in a big bulky box, repackage the pieces into small ziplock bags in pretty goody bags or tiny boxes that are more elegant and consistent with your wedding decor. Scan the photo on the puzzle box and print it, fold it, and include it so the child has a reference of what the puzzle will look like finished. You also may want to write on the back of each piece a number, letter, or shape so that if different puzzles get mixed together they can be sorted. Kids age 4-10 will enjoy a small kit of Legos, again, repackaged elegantly.
