Wedding Invitations & Paper

inserts for invitations

Hi ladies,
So we decided to print our own directions cards and orderd some sample paper from a website.  The invitations are printed on a pearl white metalic card stock, and I ordered paper from a website with the same color.  I received the sample today and the sheen on the paper is a perfect match but the paper itself is a little more true white than the invitations...what do you think? Do you think anyone will notice the slight difference in color? its barely noticeable, however I notice it and I need advice. :)

  • Well it's hard to say without actually seeing it but I doubt anyone will really notice something like that, especially if you don't mind the slight difference.
I would ask a close friend whom you can trust to be honest with you and who can physically see and compare the two papers.

  • I doubt any of your guests will notice, or even if they do they will not think badly of you for it! I really wouldn't worry about it if I were you.  That the insert paper was slightly whiter in color, is not something you will remember about your wedding! Don't stress the details too much or you will go crazy!
  • Don't worry about it! IF you barley could tell, no one else will. Remember no one cares as much about your wedding as much as you do. Don't let the little things worry you! Go for it! :)

  • Lay the two pieces down separately - across the room from one another if possible - and ask someone else if they can tell the difference between the two. That'll give you your answer.

My standard advice - Stop. Breathe. Walk away for an hour. Nobody is going to obsess about this as hard as you are. Nobody is going to spend hours and hours looking at the available colours. Nobody is going to be six inches away from them for eight hours straight assembling them. Only you (and maybe your fiance) are. They won't know how it's "supposed" to be, they'll just know how it is - and I'm sure it's wonderful.

<div>THIS!  I've never assessed an invite to make sure papers match.  The invites really matter far more to me than it will to anyone else who receives them.  </div>
