I just read the end of the Friday thread and added something, but thought that you might not see it.  Anyway, for my something old I took one of my great grandmother's handkerchief's and wrapped it around my bouquet.

For my something borrowed, my grandmother had a pin made out of her wedding ring, my grandfather's wedding ring, and a diamond from one of his tie-tacks.  She wears it every single day.  I asked if I could borrow it for the wedding as my something borrowed.  I had it pinned to the bow of my dress.  All of my family members saw it immediately and said that it brought tears to their eyes.  My aunts told me that I probably started a tradition for the rest of my girls cousins.

Perhaps you could borrow the ring and wear it around your neck or somehow secure it to your dress.  Or like you said, secure it to your bouquet.  I'm sure you could do that with ribbon.  The something borrowed is supposed be from a couple that has had a long succesful marriage, so I love that you want to use your grandfather's ring.

Aw, that's so sweet, it brought tears to my eyes and I don't even know your family! Thank you so much for sharing, I don't have any bows on my dress to do that though. That is so pretty.

My grandma and grandpa were married for 50 years then cancer took him away from us.

I'm so sorry to hear that.  My grandfather died when I was 4 (he was only 57), but my grandmother has never remarried.  Love stories with our grandparents are so romantic.   Sigh . . .

I know, they're always so sweet. My FI is old-fashioned like those stories and has told me on multiple occassions that he could never marry anyone else. I'm it. I feel the same way.

Awww, he sounds like such a keeper!  Especially after the "It's 4 months 'til our wedding" flowers!  :D
