In another forum a bride is planning a private ceremony with what she thinks is immediate family members consisting of aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and close friends. Following the ceremony will be a dinner for those guests invited to the ceremony and then a reception following the dinner with people who were not invited to either the ceremony or dinner.
I've seen where people have the courthouse wedding with immediate family members brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents and then a reception following.
Maybe I'm just a little too harsh with this? I just don't think this would go over well in my circle. What do you guys think?
(and for discussion sake immediate family members does not include uncles/cousins/aunts etc...)
EDIT - What would you think if the "celebration" with the rest of guests was held in another venue and they served drinks and snacks?
