Very disappointed :(

Was hoping to move our reception from the church to the Houston Racquet Club.. Church is beautiful but it does not offer everything we were wanting for the reception food wise etc.. anyhow.. HRC just called back and they pretty much cant do anything w/ my budget.. even to "try" to do something its going to be a minumum of 1k more..

Oh well... guess I will just have to "deal"...

    Can you scale back on other parts of your wedding to fit the reception venue into your budget? Decide how important it is to you then adjust the budget accordingly.

    I agree with AKG003 if you can cut back on certain things this might help you guys out.

    Our budget is pretty minimal as it is.. my sister is a florist and she is doing the flowers.. mom is paying for cake and dress, shoes, veil, garter.. FIL are paying for honeymoon I "think" and we are paying the rest pretty much... anything that can be done DIY I am doing and doing massive research to find the cheapest way to do it.. saved a ton of money so far.

    It will be ok I am sure, I just really liked the way the other venue felt compared to the church but if it doesn't work, it just doesn't work, I cant really drive myself crazy w/ it.

    I understand, sometimes we have to look at the bright side and although we want to have this lavish gattering the important thing is...WE'RE GETTING MARRIED! YaY!
    Do not make yourself crazy over it,I'm sure everything will end up perfect.
