Counting strawberries

Ok, maybe I am going crazy but can one of you girls doing WW help me out here..I cut up 8 small-med strawberries last nite to go along with my lunch today... However, if I put 1 1/2 cups in my tracker it says 1 pt but 8 med strawberries in 0.. I am confused..  So, which do I count?

    I dont do weight watchers but can you figure out the calories/etc in 8 strawberries, and then figure out the points based on that (I saw my friend do it that way)?
  • I would count 1, I always round up just to be safe.

  • Something seems incredibly wrong when you have to count strawberries....for any purpose....but, I guess that's why I can't lose any weight.
  • Renois- I couldve measured it but got lazy... It may seem like a pain but I lost 5lbs in 2 weeks by counting strawberries..

    On weight watchers or not, its a good idea to count everything (portion size, volume) if you are trying to lose weight by that program or by counting calories on your own. It helps you learn a proper portion size and keeps you from over/under estimating what youve eaten.
  • For the most part, a cup of any kind of fruit (blueberries, strawberries, grapes, etc) are 1 point.
  • I always measure, but I measure the fruit cut up (If Im cutting it). So I'll 1/2 cup strawberries in the morning, but I cut up the strawberries first, and count it as 0. While most fruits ARE 1 pt per cup, a lot of the berries are 0 for 1/2 cup.

  • lva- lol.. glad you liked it.. My WW leader made a good point though ( which is why I shouldnt worry about this).. she said you didnt get where your at ( being overweight) by eating strawberries..
