Friday resolutions: how did you do?

I admit I was very, very bad this weekend.  I drank too much, ate too much, and slept too little.  But I did have a GREAT weekend (I went to a friend's wedding and saw all of my best friends, some of whom I haven't seen in almost a year!) so it was totally worth it!  And I even managed to run my 10 miles Saturday morning even though I was a little hung over and they were the 10 fing hilliest miles I have EVER run.  That's what happens when you're visiting Shenandoah....How'd y'all do?

  • I didn't eat too bad and I went to the gym yesterday and did an hour of cardio and a couple of machines, so that works for me!  I am usually bad about exercising on the weekends!  But I am down to 9 weeks so I really need to start stepping it up.  Plus between now and Sept 11, I will be home for a total of 9 days so I really need to get in all of the exercise that I can!!! Good Job on 10 miles though!!! I am trying to become a runner, I've made it up to 5.5.....
  • Not horrible, but not great either.  Had japanese stakhouse friday (did not clean my plate!), Saturday bootcamp in the am and italian for dinner w/ the girlies- not good Sunday had a kid size popcorn @ the movie theater but not bad the rest of the day
  • I think that I did pretty good.  Friday I ate some buttered popcorn before leaving work but managed to stay within points because I only ate fish and roasted leeks for dinner.  I think that over the entire weekend I only ate 3 WPA points!! As far as working out while at the car dealership?  That didn't happen as I decided to write my thank you notes for the shower the weekend before.  While rushing around the house to head out to Newburyport for our engagement photos I did manage to do 20 min of weight training and then walking around Plum Island in the sand was a little bit of a workout.....

    "I will not overdo it tomorrow night (cocktail party at friends house) - I will only have a few drinks (making vodka gimlets - lo cal as it is but id rather not have more than 4), I will also make the crab dip I am bringing as lo cal as possible and then not eat too much of it. " - I only ended up having 2 drinks. Crab dip was still good and I didnt eat too much of it. I ended up not having lunch because we didnt stop for lunch so any snacking I did in the evening was evened out!
  • 1. limit the snack.  FAIL.  i lost control on some tortilla chips and nacho cheese on friday at the drive-in movie.  and sunday, it was the brownies at church.  ugh.2. get in a good workout on saturday.  SUCCESS!  i did 40 minutes of intervals on the elliptical and then NMTZ.  and then FI and i walked around the museums in DC for an hour and a half, instead of being lazy and staying in.i still feel gross.  but i'm back on track today, and planning to be really good all week!
  • Oh man I am seriously impressed klg! I can never make myself run with a hangover, nice work! I did get a run in on Saturday morning, and made healthy meal choices eating out (veggie egg white omelet for breakfast Sun and veggie burger no bun w/ cole slaw for lunch on Sat) UNTIL Sunday night I splurged on chicken enchiladas and a margarita. I had skipped lunch and snacks but I'm sure I still went over my calories. Not too horrible though considering my mom and sister were in town and we found my wedding dress :)
