Getting in Shape

PANIC ATTACK WEDDING IN 29 DAYS

Hey ladies,I've never been on this board but I need some major advice.  My wedding completely crept up on me and is now 29 days away and I am so far away from my goal.  I had some many things in my life going on on top of wedding planning that time just flew by and I slacked off.  Does anyone know a quick way to try to tone arms, and loose the most amount of wt possible in this short amount of time?  please help!

Re: PANIC ATTACK WEDDING IN 29 DAYS

  • try jillians 30-day shred dvd, 20mins a day, it does everything, you'll get in as much shape as you can in that amount of time
  • I would recommend buying some dumbells and doing bi's, tri's, and shoulders when you wake up and before bed.

How much do you have to lose?
  • Cardio cardio cardio. You'll lose weight overall, and the strength training on it's own isn't going to do you any good without losing the fat that sits on top of the muscle. Watch what you eat and I mean really watch it. Count calories, limit the carbs, sugars, fats and cheats. If you don't work hard at it it's not going to happen. Don't panic, that won't help. Just take a deep breath, get some good running shoes and get going! Good luck!
  • I used Women's Health Ultimate Fat Burn DVD and it did a great job on my arms.
  • On the Biggest Loser they work out about 5 hours a day and follow a strict diet. If you have more than 10 pounds to lose, that would be what you'd need to do to lose the weight. But if you can dedicate the next 29 days to very clean eating and working out, you should at least make some good progress and feel better about yourself on the big day. You should cut out all processed foods (sugar, white rice, white potatoes, white bread, frozen or packaged meals, etc.), eat mostly lean proteins, whole grains, vegetables and fruits. You can go on a website to see how many calories you should consume to make sure that you are getting enough calories to lose weight. You can also lose weight by watching your sodium intake. I would recommend not eating out for the next 29 days (restaurant food is loaded with sodium), drink lots of water and look at the sodium content in everything you eat before eating it. Bananas and other foods that are high in potassium can help flush sodium out of your system. If you can shed the water weight, you will be less likely to be bloated from the water. Good luck!

  • You have the rest of your life to take charge of your health, not 29 days. Any diet that is going to cause you to lose any noticeable amount of weight in a month is going to wreck your blood sugar and, after the wedding is over, cause you to put twice as much weight back on. Your fiance proposed to you exactly the way you are, and having a few extra pounds on for your wedding day isn't going to change the love you have for each other. I would really encourage you to stop stressing out about this. That being said, you cannot spot reduce. The best way to tone your arms is to engage in an overall fitness program. Cardio work will burn off the excess flab so the underlying muscle tone will be visable. Best way to eat is organically and farm fresh. Most commercially prepared 'food' contains chemicals, many of which disrupt cellular metabolism and contribute to obesity. Shop your local farmer's markets as opposed to the grocery store.
