Help- I started the 30 day shred yesterday

All I can say right now is WOW! That was the hardest workout I put myself through, I did the shred in addition to a 45 stationary bike ride. I reallly had to push myself to get it done, but I DID! Even though I felt like crying, quitting and all the emotions of everything horrible I ate and how hard I now have to work to get it off. Now upon waking up this morning feeling so sore I started thinking " am I suppose to do that video everyday?" For those of you out there who do this video, is it suppose to be done everyday? My concern is they say your suppose to rest your muscles a day between weights. Anyways let me know. Its would also me nice to hear how well this video works, what kind of results did you ladies see after your 30 day shred??? Thank you all, Keep up the good work ladies, we can do it!!!!! ~Lauren~

Re: Help- I started the 30 day shred yesterday

  • Everyone does it differently... I do it with the first level for 10 days, then off 2 days, second level 10 days, off 2 days.. I can tell you it gets better as they days go on, but you really need to stretch before and after (not just the stretches on the video) Do what you think you can do and listen to your body..if you're way too sore, take a day off and then start again the next day
  • I feel your pain.  I just bumped it up to level 2 because I was lokking for the soreness again.  I worked through it.  If your body is telling you to take a break then take a break or at least only shred or stationary today.
  • I did it every day, but I did skip a few days here and there, so really it took me 36 days to complete it. I didn't do any additional exercise, because I'm really lazy.
  • I just started Level 3 yesterday. I thought I heard it was easier than level 2 but I struggled to get through it. I have not been able to do it everyday. You are supposed to do each level for 10 days straight. I have done each level 10 times. I take a day or two off between each workout depending on how sore I am. I am also trying to get in at least 20 minutes of cardio each night. I think everyone is different so what you are comfortable with. I measured halfway through level 1 and am waiting a month to measure myself again. I do not know if I have lost any inches but my shirts are fitting better and when I touch my arms I can feel muscles there now. I have lost 4 pounds so far. I hope this helps.
  • It took me about 36 days to complete as well.  I still incorporate it into my workouts.  I did L3 yday and I forgot how insanely hard it is!  I still like L3 better than L2 though.  Results- I firmed up a good deal.  I went from being able to do 0 real pushups to about 5.  I lost an inch on my waist. I believe I lost 2 or 3 pounds.  I wasn't looking to lose- I wanted to tone up.  I definitely did!  Push through it- once you complete it you will feel a great sense of accomplishment
  • Thank you all so much!!!! It really made a difference hearing from you, Im excited to finish and know that I did it! Selfishly its nice to know that other women out there are going through it as I am...lol. I cant wait untill my wedding day and knowing ive worked so hard to that very special day. Plus I will be smokin' hot =) ~Lauren~
  • The first few days are the worst! I think it really works because I lost 3lbs in one week. Just stick with it and if you need a day off take it!
  • I pushed through it and did 10 days of each level, nonstop to 30 days. When I got there, I didn't want to stop. I have been shredding now for over 60 days. I now do it 5 days a week, every morning. I do 2 days of levels 2 and 3, and 1 of level one. I also do extra (different) workouts in the evenings if I feel like it. On the weekends I run, hike, or do another cardio DVD.
