We are getting married the last weekend of September, so HM will be the 1st or 2nd week of October. Everyplace I have been looking for warm weather, nice beaches, things to do, etc...is either rainy season or something of that sort! Any suggestions please??
Looked into Belize, Bermuda, Puerto Rico...etc
Thanks

We are having the same issue we are getting married early September every place I have looked into says it's rainy/hurricane season! I found this website that is really helpful but unfortunately it looks like all of the good places to go in September are extremely expensive! Good luck :)

Just because it says it is the rainy/hurricane season does not mean that it will actually rain or have a hurricane come through on your HM. No matter when you plan your HM (or any vacation for that matter) you always run the risk of having poor weather.
A friend of mine went to Antigua for her HM in October and guess what, a tropical storm blew through...after 2 days of rain they had gorgeous weather. Yeah it sucks that it rained but needless to say it didn't ruin her HM.
Oh, but if you do plan on going somewhere that may get hit by a hurricane, make sure to buy traveler's insurance so if the unthinkable does happen you aren't out a few thousand dollars.

Look into Southern California. We drove from Northern to Southern California over 14 days in September on our HM (the 14th-28th). The weather can be fine for beaches, but might not be. It was nice while we were there and the San Diego area is temperate year round.
I think the only place that is going to be tropical and not have rain issues may be Hawaii.

Ditto Maggie. Just because it's rainy season; does not mean it will rain. It's winter right now in Chicago and we've only had one significant snow fall and even that cleared up in a few days.
I've been to Rivieria Maya twice in October and my bf just HMed there in Sept...all trips were a week long at a minimum and not one of them had rain. We were in RM last in Oct '10 for our HM and had 8 days of 90 degree weather and sunshine.
Just get trip insurance to cover weather in case there is a hurricane.

We are going to Mexico in October. You just have to take your chances.

The weather is great in hawaii that time of year. If you haven't been you should really consider it. Soo nice. What about Costa Rica or nearby? I don't know when they have rainy season.
