Congrats! I'm going to Pnta Cana as well but staying at Hard Rock. I've done Secrets in Mexico though and loved it. You will have a blast!

we went there on our honeymoon! Just make sure you bring dress clothes because a lot of the restaurants on the resort have a dress code. What is great about it too is that you can go to the restaurants at Now Larimar which is their sister hotel. We did find that Now had a little more going on, as it was a family resort, where as Secrets was pretty quiet. We really enjoyed ourselves! And, may I recommend the excursion that is Snuba--which is a mix of scuba/snorking, amazing! Enjoy!!
