hand-deliver invites?

some of our wedding guests will be our college friends who we see on campus all the time. is it appropriate to hand deliver these invites, in private of course? or do i have to mail them to their college mail boxes, which many people do not check often if at all. or send them to their family's homes which they might not get to while they're at school...

I would mail and tell them to be on the lookout. You can always ask which address they prefer. If the mail system is unreliable .. then hand deliver.

I would mail unless you think they would have a problem getting them that way. It's nice to get things in the mail, especially in college.

There is nothing wrong with hand-delivering invitations, as long as you hand it directly to the person invited. In times past, all invitations were delivered this way by your servants.

Make sure you put the names on both envelopes as usual, but obviously, the street address is not necessary. You should still enclose a stamped envelope for the RSVP card, as well.
