SO excited. I've known my fiance since we were freshman together at NC State... I'm from Jersey and he's from North Carolina, so we didn't start dating until we both ended up working in NYC. Can't wait to marry my best friend.

Now here's the question- should the wedding be in NC or Jersey? Advice!

Congrats! I work in NYC too! :)

FI and I chose a half-way point between his family and mine - in the Poconos in PA. NYC venues were too expensive and not large enough for our needs.

It's probably cheaper to do it in NC to be honest. But I'd probably go with where more people are located. If 70 family members are in NJ, and only 10 are in NC, it would seem silly to make those 70 travel to NC. Is there anyone in your VIP list that you need to accommodate? (Someone who can't travel long distances, for example.)

Great advice- thank you!!

I'm almost thinking because we'd love a traditional wedding and a bunch of our friends from college are still down in nc, it might be fun to drag my family down there and be somewhere on the beach! the weather down south is a LITTLE more predictable, and new york in july i'm worried about it getting so gross and humid outside...
