We are having an outdoor wedding and will be renting some folding chairs from a local rec department. I want the chairs to look nice, but I don't want to pay a couple hundred dollars on chair covers alone. Anyone have any ideas of how I could dress up the chairs? Also, we are having it on a grass lot with a pretty view, but what kind of decorations could I use for the ceremony??

What do the chairs look like? Wood, white, metal? Unless they are hideous, I can't see anyone noticing them at all.

We had plain white chairs and I didn't do anything with them. Some people tie bows on the chairs or hang things on the aisle.

You could figure out a DIY project to dress the chairs up a bit.

You could use silk flowers.

Or natural decorations such as starfish.

There are lots of way to add decor to your chairs. I had this same issue. When I did the number crunching I realized it was cheaper to upgrade to a slightly higher end chair (I went from metal to wooden) then buy the materials to add decor or ribbons to 65+ chairs. And I am just putting flowers on the chairs that line the aisle. Easy breezey! :)
