Okay, I am getting married under a gorgeous covered pavilion. I believe in saving money where it counts but I don't want to lose the look of a cheap two- year old birthday party. I am ordering old Coca-Cola bottles from the company to drink at the reception(if you want this idea, you will have to work with a convience store to order them for you. Coca-Cola company only sells to buisnesses). But for toasts, I want something nice to look at that doesn't cost too much and can be thrown away. the same goes with the silverware. ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!Kiss

Not sure about cups, but we're doing bamboo utensils & plates- I think they're a step up from paper :)

The way I look at it is, plastic is plastic and paper is paper. No matter which way you go, your guests will be able to tell just from the feel of it.  Depending on your formality of the event should decide whether you want to do this route or look into renting silverware.

Please don't type in color. It's difficult to read and hurts the eyes.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Seriously...rent your silverware. I'm paying 10 cents per piece of stainless steel silverware.

We bought clear plastic cups for our guests' for the bar, and plastic toasting flutes for the BP table at Hobby Lobby.

SmartyHadAParty.com has awesome plastic ware that IMO, looks about as real as plastic ware can look.

I found hard plastic white square plates at Sam's Club, they are sophisticated and affordable. You get 40 full size plates and 40 smaller plates for $12!!!! Also SmartyHadAParty is great! Good tip! :)

I love Party City for things like this!  Plastic punch bowls you'd swear were glass, heavy plastic plates that look like ceramic and are nice enough to wash and use again, plastic silverware that looks like silverware and you can see them in person!
