Ideas girls! (I really like the big white hydrangea flowers, they are in season at my time of wedding month (August) and maybe keeping it simple and varying high to low pieces per different tables.)

afloral.com has silk flowers...beautiful!

if you want real flowers get large fillers. candles work for centerpieces as well.

lanterns, books, birdcages, candelabra's and more. good wedding centerpieces and tottally get a pinterest.com account to browse

I bought vases at Dollar Tree for $1 a piece and they look the same as the $5 a piece vases at other stores. Then I'm making wood blocks to go around them with scrap wood my parents have at their house and cutting the table numbers into them, painting them white, and then roughing them up with sandpaper. For flowers I'm using hydrangeas, lisianthus, and purple stock and per centerpiece I'm spending in total $22. I'm also putting candles around the flowers that I'm getting for free from my BIL since he works for a candle company.

Another option was candles and I saw some really cheap, cute ones at Christmas Tree shop that had the stand and everything for around $7. Also if you like the shabby chic look scour yardsales for all kinds of vases and put a group of them on each table if they're small with a single or couple stems of flowers or find pretty bowls and fill them with fruit. Just a couple of quick ideas.

Amber, I am working with local greenhouses to do potted hydrangea, which can be only about  $15 to $20 each.  It does take a lot of calling around and legwork, but I think it's worth it since its much cheaper than working with a florist and doing cut flowers.

I used potted mums as my centerpieces and put them in baskets from the dollar tree. With candles, each table was $10-12. Pics in signature.
