Cocktail Reception

Hello All:
I am having a cocktail reception for about 3 hours with roughly 130 guests or less. I will have high and low tables, seating for about half of the guests, lounge chairs to serve as additional seating. The idea is for my guests to mingle, drink, eat good food, dance, and go home feeling satisfied. 

 I am curently looking at different catering proposals for  heavy hors d'oeuvres, dessert tables, etc. If anyone is doing something similar, any suggestions of how many hot and cold items to serve? I also plan to have some buffett/carving stations as well. Thanks!
