I've seen the typical table with escort cards but I would like something a little more creative. Any suggestions?

Are you looking to alter the table or the escort cards? I've seen all sorts of things from alterations of a "board" instead of a table. We stuck with the typical cards but had candles on the table to mix it up.

Play off of the theme of your wedding/reception. My theme is the Bon Jovi song, "Bed of Roses" so of course the centerpiece for the table is a huge bouquet of red roses. The table will be sprinkled with rose petals and then my escort cards are attached to red rose ball candles. I found them and they are perfect. They also serve as one of my guests many favors.

My FI and I are doing escort stress relief footballs (~3 in). We are doing a football theme wedding.

I spread sand all over the table and had my escort cards attached to starfish. It looked like the star fish were in the sand and our guests picked their card from the sand. Actually came out a lot better than I thought it was going to. My reception was on the water so it fit in perfectly.
