Linens!!

So..I'm wondering..does it cost more to rent table linens or buy the fabric and sew them yourself? My future mother in law is a good semtress and is willing to sew my table covers for me..I've checked at the prices at a few rental places and I'm just needing some suggestions as to which you would think is cheaper?! What does everyone think?

I bought mine from another Knottie, for like $5/tablecloth. They cost around $12/piece to rent where I live, so it was really an easy decision. I plan to launder and resell them once my wedding is over!

I was going to make table overlays for my daughter's wedding and then I found linentablecloth.com. With their prices and a coupon I found online for 30% off I could not rent or make them for what I could byt them for. After the wedding I resold the overlays and chair covers for just a little less than what I gave for them.

I think the only benefit of sewing them would be that you could pick our your own unique fabric.

The online stores and rental companies sell and rent linens really cheap... but you're also pretty limited in your colors/patterns/textures. I'm not saying those linens aren't beautiful. I'll probably buy from linentablecloth or something. But if you wanted really special linens, sewing them would be the best option.

For what it's worth, if it's an outside wedding consider buying paper linens.

I purchased all my linens at linentablecloth.com I couldn't find anyplace that beat their prices. They also have a store on ebay where they list closeout linen's I also purchased some off there extremely cheap!
