My fiance and I will be bringing in our own beer and wine (reception site does not have its own food & bev).  We have 75 people on our guest list (invites not yet sent).  What is a good number of options of each and how much to have per person?  In other words, how many types of wine and beer and how many bottles of each?  Our crowd is pretty much all beer and wine drinkers, so I don't think we will be having liquor...if we do, it will just be a signature cocktail.  Wedding is in late summer, so I would think white and red wines will be consumed equally.

Just trying to get a rough idea of what to order.  Thanks!

Try a drink calculator like this one:

http://www.realsimple.com/holidays-entertaining/weddings/wedding-wine-liquor-calculator-00000000008314/index.html

I found it by Googling "drink calculator for weddings" if you don't like that one.

I am "deaf-initely" one of a kind.

We had 73 people. We purchased a "pony keg" of beer, and had 24 bottles of various types of wine, including 5 bottles of champagne (we didn't have a champagne toast, it was just on hand in case anyone wanted some).

We had about 5-6 full bottles left, and about 3 partial bottles. I went to a local beer & wine warehouse, told the wine manager what I wanted, a mix of whites & reds, and our budget was to average around $10 a bottle. We had a great selection, including 2 dessert wines. My guests raved about the selection and everyone found something they liked.

I didn't mind having the wine left over, I wanted to be on the safe side, and it doesn't go to waste in our house.

We'll be doing Sangria for a signature drink.  I figured we could buy cranberry and other juices whenever they're on sale, and use box wine to mix.

Other than that, we'll be doing a mix of reds and whites, along with a keg.  We're hiring someone to serve the alcohol, for the liability.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Thanks, this is very helpful since I think my headcount will be right around that!  The calculator at the link above estimated 2 beers and a bottle of wine per guest.  That seemed like a lot to me!
