Home fund donations website??

I've heard you can create a website where guests can "donate" to your house fund instead of purchasing a gift from a store. Does anyone know of any good websites that you can do this through?

[QUOTE]In Response to Re:Home fund donations website?? : I can't speak for every lender, but the ones we've dealt with in the past just wanted two months bank statements.  We are closing soon, and in this purchase we certainly didn't have to go back and show where all of our savings came from.  Heck, we've been saving for awhile, not sure we could go back that far!   Needless to say, our wedding gifts from this past December were not questioned because it was already in our balance. The lender DID ask us about a recent larger than usual deposit though, so I think that's key.....not having any RECENT large deposits.

I think that's how ours was too. I just remember we had a couple large gifts where we had to get statements signed. It was not a problem, but if your lender wants a statement from every gift, that would get complicated with a registry. I'm also looking at the fact that OP is in the same state as me (though I don't know if it's a state thing or a lender thing). You're right though. I just couldn't remember everything.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
