Martha Stewart??

Martha Stewart??
Should you register? (The answer is a collective “YES!”) Chat about when, where, and what to register for here.
I was wondering if anyone has any of the Martha Stewart products, I'm building my registry and was curious if this is a good brand for kitchen gadgets etc.  I'm also considering the brand OXO.&nb

Any opinions or advice?

I have a number of Martha Stewart gadgets since we registered at Macy's.  I've been happy with everything, except the nonstick bake pans which don't have so much to do with the brand but the fact that they're darkly coating.  A lot of things that I bake are much darker around the edges because of the dark coating in the pans, but this is something that holds true with a lot of nonstick gear and dark-coated baking products.  I would probably say to go for glass bakeware in hindsight.

But Martha is great for lots of kitchen gadgets.  I would really recommend the adjustable measuring spoons and cups!

The only Martha Stewart stuff I registered for was all decorative (frames, vases, etc) but I saw it all in person and seems to be good quality for the price, and provides your guests lots of lower-cost items (it goes on sale a lot, too).

I refuse to buy any gadgets that aren't OXO, particularly their softworks line. It's pricey, but good quality.

DD registered for quite a few MS items and received almost everything she registered for.  She told me recently that almost every MS item has broken or "failed" in some way and she's already had to discard them. DD uses items correctly and takes good care of her belongings.  Our Macy's has stopped carrying either all or almost all MS kitcen items. I don't know if that is just our Macy's or if that is chain wide. I do know MS has signed a contract recently for JC Penney's to start carrying either some or all of her items.

I like most of the MS stuff but it's one of those things that I want to feel in person.  I'm obsessed with her measuring cups and measuring spoons like PP said.  I also really love her biscuit cutters and colanders.  I think you're safe registering for it.

I have  Martha Stewart rubber spatula, regular spatula, nesting mixing bowls, lemon juicer, avacado slicer, cutting board set, and some other odds and ends that I can't remember right now...
Anyways, I am very happy with the quality of everything, and I love the look of everything.

OXO stuff is great too, though.  I would say go with what's cheaper/what you like the look of better...can't go wrong either way!

We have a few of some kitchen stuff like peelers, cookie sheets and some other basic kitchen stuff. There are also kitchen towels sold in sets of 3 that we love. We also have a knife set that we got at Macy's. Everything has been great!
